South Africa is the most beautiful country in the world, everyone should come here.
...but more realistically
In reality it’s actually difficult to argue with this statement. South Africa has a unique, electric atmosphere combined with a landscape that is unbelievably easy on the eye plus an abundance of marine and wildlife. However, we wouldn’t recommend that everyone go; we’re good, but we don’t have enough hire cars for that.

The weather
Due to its position in the southern hemisphere, South Africa experiences its warmest weather between October and February, so if you’ve ever wanted to spend Christmas day on the beach, this is a perfect place to do it. Even during the winter, daytime temperatures remain warm, but you’ll need extra layers at night. Whatever time of year you visit, take sunblock.
The local speciality
If anyone invites you for a braai (bry) meaning barbeque, or potjiekos (poykey), meaning stew, go. These dishes have been part of South African cuisine for centuries and involve slow cooking meats and spices over coals on a grill, or in a cauldron over a fire. Inside you’re likely to find any combination of crocodile, kudu, ostrich, yellowfin tuna, calamari, or root vegetables. Unbelievably good food you cannot recreate at home.

There are a number of celebrities to come from South Africa, but none are bigger than Nelson Mandela. Freedom fighter, political prisoner, president, Nobel Prize winner and 'Tata' or Father to a nation, Mandela is the pride of South Africa.
