Sanford airport is located just to the North of Orlando. It is the main airport used by British Holiday companies. It is close to Orlando's hotel and theme park districts, which are called Kissimmee and International Drive. The most popular way of holidaying in Florida for British holidaymakers is fly drive. This involves combing a direct flight from the UK with a rental car, so that you can visit the largely out of town beaches and theme parks.

Combining a week with a theme park with a week on the beach is the preferred option for many tourists due to Florida's weather. It is known as the sunshine state. Miami's Art Deco district on south beach is a popular place to visit, as are the Florida Keys and Everglades National Park.
